We cover all aspects of employment law – both contentious and non-contentious.  We advise businesses and individuals on, for example:  contracts of employment and staff handbooks, the effects of a global pandemic on the workforce, diversity issues, outsourcing, business sales / acquisitions / mergers, due diligence, employment tribunal proceedings, performance management, disciplinary issues, settlement agreements and exit negotiations, judicial mediations, co-ordinating international legal advice, management training for HR professionals and in-house lawyers, strategic reviews and risk analysis and day to day support on matters that arise in the workplace.



Examples of projects we have worked on

  • Advice on COVID19 in the workplace

    Advice on the effects of COVID 19 in the workplace in the UK and co-ordinating international advice on layoffs in 10 jurisdictions throughout EMEA and the US and advising on the coordination of collective consultation on reduction in working hours as a way of avoiding redundancies 

  • Successfully defending Employment tribunal claims

    Successfully defending multiple tribunals for companies from a wide range of complaints

  • Advising & representing respondent in multiparty union backed claim

    This judicial mediation was the first of its kind in the UK.   The case involved more than 100 claimants and 3 respondents in dispute over an enhanced redundancy scheme.  The litigation spanned a number of years.  One of the outcomes was the successful application for a costs order against the trade union involved.

  • Advising on Brexit Implications

    Advising on the potential effects of Brexit on employment law in the UK.

  • Collective restructure / reorganisation programs affecting more than 20 employees

    Advising and assisting on all requirements of the collective consultation rules

  • Settlement agreements and negotiated exits

    Numerous instances of advising on settlement agreements and negotiated exits for senior executives and subsequent advice on negotiations on new contractual terms with new employers

  • Review and drafting employee documentation

    Including contracts, staff handbooks and consultancy agreements

  • Complex disciplinary & capability issues

    Including long-term sickness and permanent health insurance.  This case needed to be settled as part of the TUPE negotiations on the sale of an international business to US purchasers.

  • HR Training

    Training provided on all aspects of employment law and data protection for HR professionals and their teams to ensure compliance and assisting with the implementation of processes and procedures.

  • GDPR training

    Training provided for HR teams and executives leadership

  • Acquisitions and business divestitures

    Advising on acquisitions and business divestitures (including outsourcing) - including advice and assistance on due diligence, warranty negotiations, contract drafting etc

  • White label advice for US & UK law firms

    Providing “white label” advice for US law firm – this took place when the US law firm based in London did not have a labor law team.  We provided advice and assistance on behalf of the US firm in the UK.
